London to London — Bus Routes
London has several cruise moorings at very different distances — Greenwich and Tower Bridge are in the city, Tilbury is far downriver. Check which one your ship uses before planning anything.
- The range above is wide because the berths are wide apart. A Greenwich mooring is a short walk from the centre; Tilbury is 40 km downriver and an hour each way.
Most ships also sell a coach excursion to London — Bus Routes. However you travel, being back aboard before all-aboard is your own arrangement to make — we publish the journey, not your sailing. Your guide plays either way, and it is yours to keep.
- 15–75 min Central moorings tender ashore at Greenwich or Tower Bridge and put you in the city directly. From Tilbury it is a train from Tilbury Town into Fenchurch Street, around 40 minutes, plus the transfer to the station.
- 10–25 min Onward to the start of the bus routes by Underground or on foot.
0.4–1.7 hours each way
Plan your return against your ship's all-aboard time, which is on your daily programme. It is earlier than the departure time, and if you are coming back by tender the last tender leaves earlier still.
