Nice to Monaco — Monaco-Ville (Le Rocher)
A short, frequent train along the coast — one of the easiest independent trips in the catalogue.
Most ships also sell a coach excursion to Monaco — Monaco-Ville (Le Rocher). However you travel, being back aboard before all-aboard is your own arrangement to make — we publish the journey, not your sailing. Your guide plays either way, and it is yours to keep.
- 12–20 min Nice port quarter to Gare de Nice-Riquier, about 15 minutes on foot.
- 20–28 min TER along the coast to Monaco-Monte-Carlo, about 20 minutes, with several trains an hour.
- 12–25 min Monaco station to Le Rocher. The station has public lifts that save most of the climb; allow longer if you walk it.
0.7–1.2 hours each way
Plan your return against your ship's all-aboard time, which is on your daily programme. It is earlier than the departure time, and if you are coming back by tender the last tender leaves earlier still.
